Monday, April 29th: #IRISH Proud Day, Each student can wear his/her school uniform or dress from head to toe in our school colors of green and white showing off their Irish Pride. Face paint is allowed, but no hair coloring and no glitter. Please follow guidelines from Page 17 of the Handbook outlined below. Each student will receive a green/white cupcake to celebrate our school spirit and colors.
Tuesday, April 30th: Louisiana Spirit Day, Each student can wear his/her school uniform or dress in his/her favorite Louisiana shirt. This can include Louisiana sports teams, festivals, or holidays. Please follow guidelines from Page 17 of Handbook outlined below. Students will be receiving a sno-ball during their recess time.
Wednesday, May 1st: SBS T-Shirt Day, Each student will wear his/her school uniform bottoms with his/her choice of any SBS t-shirt. Students will be receiving extra recess time and a freezie pop.
Thursday, May 2nd: Character Day, Each student can wear his/her school uniform or dress down as their favorite character! The character can be from any appropriate book or movie. Please follow guidelines from Page 17 of Handbook outlined below. We will have our spring pep-rally this afternoon.
Friday, May 3rd: Field Day, Each student may wear his/her Field Day team t-shirt or a t-shirt representing his/her Irish Household color. Students may wear handbook approved shorts and tennis shoe of choice (if you are not aware of your child's Irish Household or team color, please email your child's homeroom teacher or email Coach Casey at [email protected]). Please follow guidelines from Page 17 of Handbook outlined below.
On Field Day, May 3rd, lunch for Kindergarten to 7th Grade will be an outdoor/picnic lunch consisting of a hotdog (chili & cheese optional), chips, cookies, and a drink all provided by our Grandparents' Club or he/she can bring a home lunch. Pre-K 3 & Pre-K 4 can order a cafeteria lunch on this day or he/she can bring a home lunch.
Dress Down Days
On dress down days the following dress code must be followed:
Tops: Shirts, blouses, and sweatshirts that are school appropriate. Shirts or blouses that expose the midriff are not permitted. Students may not wear spaghetti straps or sleeveless blouses. Shirts or blouses may not be low-cut. Writing and/or logos must be school appropriate.
Bottoms: Jeans - Plain, traditional cut and fit, long blue jeans. Low riding jeans that expose the midriff are not permitted. Jeans must not have tears, holes, slits, etc.
Shorts - Length of shorts should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee (shorts that do not meet the required length must be worn with tights/yoga pants/leggings). Cut off shorts or cut off blue jean shorts are not permitted. PE shorts are allowed.
Sweatpants - School and athletic sweatpants are allowed.
Tights/Yoga Pants/Leggings- Must be worn with shorts.
Shoes: Any tennis shoe or school shoe.
Socks: Crew sock or ankle sock.
Substitutions to the above requirements are not allowed. The only option is to wear the school uniform. Students who do not wear appropriate attire to school will be required to contact the parents/guardians to bring their school uniform. Disciplinary consequences may occur.
