We want to give a big "Thank You" to NFL-FLAG for donating flag football equipment for our St. Benilde School PE Classes. We are so excited to play flag football as a way to not only exercise, but more importantly to learn to communicate as a team and work together to reach a common goal! #IRISHproud
On Friday, our St. Benilde Students celebrated the day with our annual Krewe of Rainbow! Our Pre-K4 students made hats as the Maids and Dukes of the parade, while our Kindergarteners created their own floats. All classes walked around and waved to the Krewe as we played Mardi Gras Music! The rest of the school celebrated the day by dressing in purple, green, and gold, and our sixth and seventh graders participated in a second line around the school!
February is Black History Month! Our SBS students have been celebrating the achievements by African Americans and recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history throughout this month. Each morning for announcements, student council has been honoring one influential African American. Students have also been learning about influential African Americans in various subjects including science, social studies, art, library, and religion.
Today for Catholic Schools Week, we celebrated our amazing St. Benilde Parents. Parents were greeting with a breakfast treat in morning car line. We want to give a big thank you to all of our SBS Parents, past, present, and future. Thank you for choosing St. Benilde School and thank you for your commitment to Catholic Education.

On Tuesday, we sang songs of praise and worship together in the St. Benilde Church. SBS Students also started decorating their classroom doors to celebrate Catholic Schools Week!
For Catholic Schools Week, we are celebrating our students by displaying their artwork at Lakeside Mall. Our artwork is displayed right in front of the Lego Store. It will be on display for Catholic Schools Week until Friday evening. We are so proud of all of our SBS artists!
While the StBenilde MensClub can’t hold their ‘normal’ Chili Cookoff Trifecta event this year, they figured this was a great alternative to be able to still serve the parishioners and maintain the fun of the competition! Serving will begin in the school yard at noon (following 11am mass) and end at 3pm. There will be voting enabled on Facebook through the St Benilde Men's Club page to determine the overall winner Sunday evening.
Today our Pre-K4 and Kindergarten Classes celebrated their 100th Day of School! Our classes celebrated by counting to 100, dressing in costumes, and participating in exciting activities involving the number 100 throughout the day! We are 100 days more blessed here at St. Benilde.
Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a national day of service, a chance to empower individuals, strengthen communities and bridge barriers.
On Wednesday and Thursday, our St. Benilde Students celebrated their academic and personal achievements at our Second Quarter Award Ceremony. Great job students! We are so proud to honor each and every one of you and are excited to see how you continue to learn and grow during the rest of the year!
Our Student of the Month for November is Alexis B. Alexis is someone who is a shining example of our November virtue of the month, kindness. She is always willing to help others, sincerely cares for those around her, and greets everyone with a smile. She is described as having a genuine heart who reflects the love of Christ to her classmates.
Congratulations to our creative Kindergarteners who won first place for our Halloween Hoopla Door Decorating Contest! To celebrate their win, the Kindergarten class will have an ice cream party! We want to give a big thank you to our wonderful Grandparent's Club for their generosity and for helping to make our Halloween Hoopla a memorable event!
To celebrate All Saints Day on November 1st, our fourth and fifth grade SBS students decorated pumpkins that represented various Saints. Students also completed a research project to learn about their Saint!
