The St. Benilde Home and School Association is the “parents club” of St. Benilde School. Each family is automatically enrolled as a member of the HSA upon registering your child for the school year. The HSA coordinates various events, fundraisers, and activities throughout the school year. These events are for parents and kids alike and are designed to promote our school spirit and enhance our home and school relationships.
Events and fundraisers include informational meetings, SBS Family & Parish Bingo & Trunk or Treat (in support of the St. Benilde Grandparents Club), Parade of Prizes booth at the St. Benilde Food & Music Festival, Christmas Boutique, Breakfast with Santa (together with the St. Benilde Men’s Club), Teacher Luncheons, Mom’s Night Out, Grandparents Day, and our annual Night at the Races (in conjunction with the SBMC & St. Benilde Grandparent’s Club. New for the 2022-2023 school year, the HSA will be hosting Mother Son Brunch in Fall and a Father Daughter Dance in spring. Events are subject to change. Any proceeds from these events directly benefit our school.
The Home and School Association Executive Board consists of parent volunteers who work closely with the school administration to meet the spiritual, social, and financial needs of our school. Throughout the school year, parent volunteers are highly encouraged and welcomed. The participation of our SBS parents is vital to the success of St. Benilde School. Whether serving as a committee chair or volunteering at an event, there are many ways you can help the school and meet new families along the way.
Room parents will act as liaisons between the teacher and other class parents. They will assist the teacher by organizing volunteers and soliciting donations, such as paper goods & snacks, for various class activities through the year. Room parents will work closely with the HSA Board to inform parents of & successfully execute our planned events. Anyone who wishes to volunteer in any capacity must maintain current Safe Environment Training. Our meetings for the 2022-2023 school year are as follows and will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria: October 6, 2022, November 18, 2022, February 16, 2023, May 11, 2023
