Thank you SBS Family!  Once again, you have shown the strength of our parish school community when you chose to #GiveBenilde on #iGiveCatholic this Tuesday, November 29.  Last year, 197 members of our community donated over $20,000 in a single 24 hour period, giving us the most individual donations of any Archdiocese of New Orleans organization, and more total money donated than any Archdiocese of New Orleans Catholic School (including the high schools)!  With the bar set high, the community went above and beyond the call, with 220 people raising $25,718 (two more gifts totaling $200 have come in since midnight on November 29 as well)!  That is far and away the highest number of gifts of any organization over six dioceses participating this year, and once again, it is the most money raised of any school participating in #iGiveCatholic.  The generosity of the St. Benilde School community is simply outstanding!  

In addition to this, by raising $25,000+ in 24 hours, we also met the Whitman Family Foundation Challenge.  That means the $25,718 raised was matched dollar for dollar through $20,000, resulting in an overall total raised of $45,718!!!  That money will be used to purchase new classroom furnishings, update facilities, and improve school security.
