Ms. Roxanne Bates is a native of Metairie and a St. Benilde alumna. She later attended Archbishop Chapelle High School and then LSU. After graduating from college, she taught Kindergarten in Baton Rouge for three years before spending time volunteering at an orphanage near Mexico City. Shortly after returning to the states, she was blessed by the birth of the first of three sons. She spent the next several years of her life as a stay at home mom, before resuming her teaching career in Florida. During her time in Florida, she taught both Spanish and First Grade before settling on Pre-K, which she describes as her true passion. Having taught previously in both public and private schools, Ms. Bates is thrilled to be back in an environment where she can express her faith and love for Christ. Led back to her roots, she is excited to see God's plan for her as she begins another journey at St. Benilde.
