As a school, we are excited to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month - September 15th - October 15th. Our students have been observing this special time by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Each morning, our student council has been teaching our school a Spanish word of the day. All homerooms selected a Hispanic Country to learn about and celebrate during this month. Our students in 4th-7th grade created a collaborative mural to celebrate notable Hispanics! Finally, our 2nd - 7th graders created papel picado to decorate our school bulletin boards and classrooms. We are so excited to celebrate this special time as a school!
