Last week, our little Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten students celebrated their annual fall festival, where educational games became the playground for laughter and growth. As smiles lit up their faces, the event turned into a heartwarming blend of fun and learning, making each moment a cherished step in their educational journey. Sparks of curiosity and hands-on learning ignited in our 6th grade classroom as students delved into the world of electronics, crafting parallel circuits that lit up with diodes and LEDs. From batteries to DC power sources and the magic of snap circuits, our young engineers are embracing the challenge, sparking creativity and learning, one circuit at a time!

October is the month of the Most Holy Rosary. To celebrate, our St. Benilde School students created a vibrant living rosary on the blacktop, where we prayed together with our buddies and meditated on events in the life of Jesus.
October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Benilde celebrated the day with a blessing of the animals. St. Benilde families and friends brought their pets to be blessed by Father Matthew. Our youngest students had their stuffed animals blessed too!
We recently recognized our SBS Students of the Month for September, who truly embody our virtue of the month: Obedience. These outstanding students were nominated by their teachers for their willingness to follow directions the first time without complaining. Congratulations students
This weekend, our 7th graders immersed themselves in faith and community at the NOLA Catholic Youth Conference. They listened dynamic speakers, learned about their faith, and celebrated Mass with Archbishop Aymond.
Congratulations to our SBS alumna Nadia Powell, St. Benilde class of 2020. Nadia has been recognized with the National African American Recognition Award for her exceptional performance on the PSAT.
Our Pre-K2 students are learning all about the colors of the rainbow! To further our learning, our students and teachers have been finding cross curricular connections! From teaching colors in Spanish, to singing the songs, we are learning more each day! We recently even completed a color sort during PE!
Congratulations to our SBS alumna Morgan Gaudet, St. Benilde class of 2019. Morgan has been named a National Merit Semifinalist and scored in the top 1% of all students taking the PSAT.
Our first Rooted Night on Sunday, September 10 was a great success thanks to the hard work and dedication of MANY volunteers. We had approximately 250 people in attendance! What a gift to be able to grow in relationship with God and one another. We are already looking forward to our next Rooted Night on Sunday, October 1st.
On Wednesday, we recognized our SBS Students of the Month for August. These students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating the virtue of trustworthiness. We pray that all members of the St. Benilde family continue to learn to be reliable and faithful in even the little things each day!
This morning, our Student Council Executive Board and Representatives were inducted for the 2023-2024 school year. We are so excited to see these leaders in action this year.
Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students recently gathered in our new atrium for their weekly Catechesis of the Good Shepherd lesson. The children learned how to decorate our prayer table and practiced various life skills which are also used in the context of the Mass.
Happy 55th Birthday to St. Benilde School! St. Benilde School opened its doors on August 28th, 1968. Our students started this morning with Praise and Worship in the church led by Ms. Naquin. Throughout the day, we enjoyed activities with our buddies, making new friends and having a blast together. We sang "Happy Birthday" during lunch and ate birthday cake, and ended the day with a delicious an ice cream treat! What a sweet way to start our week!
We had such a great time at our annual Back to School Bingo hosted by the St. Benilde School Grandparents Club and the St. Benilde Home & School Association. Thanks to all of the members of our St. Benilde community for joining us today, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who brought this event to life.
Friday-Luia! To celebrate the feast day of Saint Benilde and the end of a successful first week of school, our entire campus gathered under the pavilion for a freeze pop treat! We are so excited for an amazing school year ahead!
Every year at St. Benilde School on the first day when all students gather on the campus, Father Matthew visits each classroom and gives a special blessing over the teachers, students, and their learning spaces.
This morning, our Rainbow Building opened their doors for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year.
